Global Transaction Banking isa key growth business within TDS that provides the opportunity to make an impact within the dealer's Vision27. Global Transaction Banking innovative solutions target Corporates with large and complex liquidity, payments, and trade finance needs. The business constantly changes with macroeconomic conditions, unprecedented levels of innovation, interest rate environments, and foreign exchange movements. As a result, the technology supporting the business line should be capable of continuous evolution to provide optimum credit trade finance, liquidity, and payment solutions to clients.
GTB is comprised of four business lines: Global Trade Finance ("GTF"), Corporate Cash Management ("CCM"), Financial Institutions ("FI"), and Export and Agency Finance ("EAF").
Job Summary:
TDS has embarked on a multi-year digital transformation of Global Transaction Banking in order to position the bank as a leading North American franchise in the respective businesses, with aspiration to grow business globally. This role presents an opportunity to leverage deep industry expertise in delivery technology transformation in this business area, and to lead the definition of strategy, socialize and syndicate the business case and build-out of the next-generation technology solutions to support TDS businesses as we grow and take market share in GTB.
This is an executive role with responsibility to lead and execute the technology delivery strategy that is a critical enabler of the future business growth, as well as future-proofing the existing material corporate client businesses.
The candidate must be a visionary leader who has at least 20 years of combined experience in corporate Global Transaction Banking and/or Cash movement, support Financial institutions and Trade Finance businesses, can drive technology roadmap and deliver transformative technology change within the risk appetite, processes, and regulatory environment of the Bank.
A successful candidate will have proven track record of driving technology strategy and execution for transaction banking, related cash movement, Financial institutions and Trade Finance businesses and/or related securities businesses. Foster collaboration and cross-functional integration to further accelerate the technology transformation. Define people strategy to align with business goals, upskill, strengthen, and build a highly functional delivery team to that can deliver high-impact technology solutions to Improve colleague experience, create efficiencies, reduce cost of doing business and deliver stakeholder value.
Job Responsibilities:
• Accountable executive for delivering technology strategy and execution for GTB's Cash Movement, Channels (UI/UX, APIs), Financial Institution services and Trade Finance, working closely with senior stakeholders in business, operations, and technology.
• Manage a global technology team to ensure talent needs and capabilities are developed to support long term goals for GTB's Cash Movement, Channels (UI/UX, APIs), Financial Institution services and Trade Finance.
• Develop and maintains relationships with business stakeholders, vendors, and other technology stakeholders.
• Drive technology front-to-back strategy and solution delivery for GTB's Cash Movement, Channels (UI/UX, APIs), Financial Institution services and Trade Finance.
• Facilitate overall technical architecture; ensures ongoing development aligns with strategic technology plan including Buy vs Build.
• Seeks ways and drives RTB cost optimization while maintaining scalable solutions for growth
• Partners with product owners to develop deep understanding of business goals and user needs.
• Provides strategic guidance to GTB Business leaders to ensure business strategy is in alignment with technology strategy
• Identifies, manages, and mitigates technical risks; communicates with stakeholders.
• Manages budget and resource headcount. Identify and hire key talent.
• Provides thought leadership on emerging technology and product trends.
• Engage in industry forums to understand, evaluate, and nominate change initiatives.
• Facilitate collaboration and cross-functional integration to accelerate technology transformation with close alignment to a shared vision and strategy.
• Stays informed with the latest innovation in the technology, GTB and payment industry changes
• Work closely with the product team and business stakeholders to develop and execute a robust product strategy and roadmap in alignment the increasing scale of the business, overall strategy and goals.
• Work with product team to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery, and to manage trade-offs between scope, schedule, and resources.
• Collaborate with the product team and business stakeholders to define and track key product metrics to measure product success, and continuously iterate on product features and design based on data and feedback.
• Work with technology leadership team to represent Corporate Technology at governance committees & forums
Job Requirements:
• 20+ years combined experience in delivering technology and transformation to Global Transaction Banking with focus on Cash Movement, Channels (UI/UX, APIs), Financial Institution services, Trade Finance, and/or related Securities businesses.
• Experience leading global delivery teams delivering multi-functional solutions
• Understanding of Global Transaction Banking processes, systems and industry trends to drive innovative technology solutions is preferable.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex programs in GTB with end-to-end scope across the product lifecycle.
• Proven experience in agile development methodologies and leading engineering teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions.
• Ability to work with production team, business stakeholders, UX team to define product roadmap and delivery KPIs
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams and internal partners to deliver high-quality products on time, within budget, and meet KPIs.
• Ability to make sound judgment calls relating to strategic decisions under time pressure and manage well in ambiguous situations.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving leadership skills to plan and execute transformational technology change, leveraging past industry experience, research and client feedback.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability drive strategy implementation by effectively working with cross-functional teams and communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.

• College degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience
• 7+ years related experience
